Police Say Hit-And-Run Victim Lay Dying While Cars Passed By
The Dade City Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in the 36000 block of Blanton Road.

DADE CITY, FL -- The Dade City Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in the 36000 block of Blanton Road at approximately 1:45 a.m. Saturday, April 21.
The victim has been identified as Thomas Michael Burdeshaw, 53, of the 14000 block of Sundance Drive in Dade City.
Witnesses told police that Burdeshaw was seen lying near the edge of the road on the south side of Blanton Road, east of Michael Street, shortly before he was struck.

One witness, who turned around to check on him, found that his body positioning had changed and he had suffered trauma consistent with being struck by a vehicle. A number of vehicles and trucks had passed by the area during that time.
Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Burdeshaw dead at 2:03 a.m.
