Update: Escaped Prisoner Found Riding a Bike
A Hillsborough County deputy spotted him Tuesday afternoon.

Update Sept. 9, 4:10 p.m.: The hunt for Jason Adams ended at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday when a Hillsborough County deputy spotted him riding a bicycle on Broadway Avenue at Harris Parkway Place. The deputy pulled him over and asked for identification. Adams told the deputy who he was, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Cristal Bermudez Nunez wrote in an email to media. That admission resulted in Adams trading his bike for a ride in the back of the deputy’s cruiser. He is being booked into the Orient Road Jail.

Deputies have found Adam’s prison uniform, so residents should be aware that he is likely wearing other clothing at this time, Pasco Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Doll wrote in an email to media.
