Publix Christmas, New Year's Holiday Hours

Tampa Bay area residents who can’t make it through the holidays without a stop or three at their local Publix store, will have to plan around a few days with limited hours and one closing.

The Lakeland-based chain has announced its 2014 holiday hours as follows:

• Christmas Eve – All stores will open normally, but plan to close at 7 p.m.
• Christmas Day – All stores in Florida will close.
• New Year’s Eve – Stores open at regular hours, but close at 9 p.m. so employees can observe the holiday.
• New Year’s Day – Most in the Tampa Bay area will open at regular hours, but Publix officials warn that hours can vary by location.

All Publix pharmacies plan to close on New Year’s Day, but the stores will be open.
