Reward Offered in Deputy Threatening Graffiti Case
Homeowners in Meadow Pointe are offering $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest.

The person or people who took it upon themselves to spray paint a threat to deputies in Wesley Chapel’s Meadow Pointe II subdivision aren’t very popular with homeowners.
That’s why the neighborhood’s Community Development District has stepped forward to offer a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
The incident that sparked the reward offer occurred last Friday when someone spray painted a road barrier at the end of Mansfield Road to say “Shoot MP Cop.”

“The District does not take this threat lightly,” the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office passed along on its Facebook page. “Those responsible for this threat, when caught, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Meadow Pointe II supports our two deputies, who are an important part of our community.”
The graffiti was painted one day before Tarpon Springs Police Officer Charles Kondek was laid to rest after a fatal shooting incident in Pinellas. On Sunday, two Pasco deputies were fired on while sitting outside a church in Dade City. Neither deputy was injured.
