Developing: 2 Northbound I-275 Lanes Closed Until Thursday
A depression in the roadway forced the closing.

Motorists heading north on Interstate 275 might want to plan for some possible delays just north of Bearss Avenue.
The Florida Department of Transportation is reporting that repair work on the northbound right and center lanes just north of Bearss Avenue continues, forcing the lanes to remain closed until Thursday morning.
A depression opened up in the right northbound lane Tuesday.

“Crews are currently finishing the grouting work and will begin paving operations later this afternoon,” an FDOT email to media Wednesday morning stated.
The hole is estimated to be about 3 feet by 4 feet in size, according to FDOT spokeswoman Kris Carson.

Whether the depression was caused by a sinkhole remains unclear.
