Seahawks Keep Rising, Edge Vanguard 22-21
The Sunlake Seahawks took on Vanguard in the regional quarterfinals.
Senior receiver Jamal Jones evened up the score at seven when he caught a short pass from senior quarterback Cameron Stoltz. Junior receiver Eddie Burgos scored on a 25-yard catch to even up the score at 14 before the half.
Vanguard took the lead 21-14 in the third quarter but again the Seahawks (11-1) answered with a touchdown drive of their own in the fourth quarter.
When Stoltz scored on a quarterback keeper to make it 21-21 with less tha four minutes to go, Seahawks head coach Bill Browning addressed his team.

"Guys, this is it. We've got four minutes left and we're going to go for the lead," said Browning.
In a bold move, Browning lined up the Rhino package for the two-point conversion; senior center Nate McCoole, senior full back Paul Scott and senior running back Jerome Samuels and went for it.

The conversion was just enough to carry the Hawks to the next chapter of their book; a date with Gainesville (11-3) in the regional semifinals.
