Search On for Counter-Jumping Robbery Suspect

The man is accused of robbing a Lutz gas station Wednesday afternoon.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help identifying a man is says robbed a Lutz gas station Wednesday afternoon.

According to the agency, the man entered the Tailgate Mart, 25195 State Road 54, around 2:30 p.m., jumped over the counter and helped himself to cash inside the register. The man than ran back out of the store and got into a black Chevrolet Impala that was driven by someone else. The car is believed to be between 2006 and 2012 in model year.

The suspect is described as a black male between the age of 18 to 25. He stands about 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, gray T-shirt, tan khakis and black-and-white sneakers. He also has a tattoo, possibly tribal, on his left forearm.

The Impala was last seen heading west on State Road 54 in the Land O’ Lakes area.
