Proceeds benefit Mitze Richeson's campaign for Honorary Mayor of Wesley Chapel.

The βSeeds of Hope, Reflections on 9/11β concert is set to take place Oct. 21 at starting at 7 p.m. Featuring Daniel Rodriguez, Marla Kavanaugh Rodriquez and Jesse Lynch, the concert is a fundraiser for Wesley Chapel Honorary Mayor candidate Mitze Richeson.
The honorary mayorβs campaign is an annual event sponsored by the Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce. Candidates battle it out in a contest to see who can earn the most money, or βvotes.β The one who raises the greatest amount of money is declared the winner. Proceeds from the mayorβs race benefit the chamber and each candidateβs charity of choice.

βWhen I met Daniel Rodriguez a few months ago and saw what kind of person he is, a person with a huge heart to give back, and a heart for helping Oasis, I knew we had to get him here for a concert so everyone else can see what kind of amazing person he is too,β Richeson said.
Fridayβs concert is being sponsored by Cypress Creek Chiropractic and Wellness, which is owned by Richeson and her husband, Micah.
Rodriguez is a fomer New York City police officer. The tenor became known as the βsinging policemanβ after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He trained under Placido Domingo and has since made appearances all over the country singing patriotic songs and other tunes.
βHe has an unbelievable gift in his beautiful tenor voice, a voice that will give you chills,β Richeson said. βHe was discovered and trained by Placido Domingo, has appeared on βOprah,β Letterman, Larry King, and has sung at the White House, so we are in for quite a treat.β
Rodriguez will be joined in the concert by his wife, Marla Kavanaugh, who is an internationally renowned opera singer from New Zealand. Pianist Jesse Lynch will provide the musical accompaniment.
Peter Castellani of Oasis said heβs really looking forward to the concert.
βI heard Daniel Rodriguez and his wife, Marla Kavanaugh, at a concert at Willow Bend Community Church on Memorial Day and they were absolutely fantastic,β he said. βYou do not want to miss this wonderful concert.β
Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite. The cost is $20 for children and seniors and $25 for adults. They can also be purchased at the door for $5 more.
