Sheriff: Pasco Deputy Targeted In Arson Attack
A suspect is in custody following the attack.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a person in connection with an arson attack on the home of own of its own.
According to the agency, the person specifically targeted the home of a deputy and his family. “He used arson in his attack,” the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media.
The deputy and his family were not injured in the incident, which occurred just after 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to an arrest report, Daniel Hall, 30, of Hudson went onto the front porch of the deputy’s home and set fire to a lawn chair, causing about $20 in damage.
Following his arrest, Hall told investigators, “It wasn’t nobody else but me, I’m the one did it,” the arrest report states.

Hall was booked into the Pasco County Jail on residential burglary and arson charges Thursday.
