Small Seahawk Squad Still Sending Athletes To Regionals
The Sunlake Seahawks are a small, but growing team. They have some key athletes that will gain valuable experience this year so that they can be team leaders in years to come.
Their boys team is small, their girls team in tiny but the Sunlake Seahawks have some prime athletes on their roster.
The school had several athletes place well enough at the 3A-7 District meet April 21 to move on to regionals next week.
Here's a look at some that are moving on to regionals.

On the boys side:
The Sunlake boys 4x100m relay took third place and is moving on to regionals. The 4x800m team just missed the fourth spot.

Senior Joel Fauntleroy came in second place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.65 seconds. Fauntleroy was a 10th of a second too slow to make the 300m hurdle regionals.
Sophomore Brogan Ronske claimed the third spot in the 400m with a time of 53.45 seconds.
Eddy Burgos made the final in 100m but fell 2 spots short of qualifying. He was one spot away from qualifying in long jump.
On the girls side:
The 4x100m team just missed the 4th qualifying spot.
Junior Antasia Perez continues to run well. She finished 3rd in the 100m with a time of 13.05 seconds and ran on the 4x100m team.
Junior Sarah McDaniel made the finals in 100m hurdles but came up short of qualifying.
Regionals are Thursday, April 28 at Harmony High School.
