SR 54, Trinity Boulevard Crash Kills 22-Year-Old Lutz Man

TRINITY, FL – A 22-year-old Lutz man has died following an accident on State Road 54 and Trinity Boulevard Thursday, July 12 at 9:26 p.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, David Jonathan Sorrano, 26, of Trinity was driving his 2011 Dodge Journey west on SR 54, approaching Trinity Boulevard.

At the same time, Donovan Blaine Moore, 22, of Lutz was driving a 1995 Jeep Cherokee east on SR 54.

According to state troopers, Sorrano attempted to make a left turn under a flashing yellow left turn signal and entered the path of Moore’s Cherokee. The two vehicles collided and Moore’s Cherokee left the road, collided with a concrete pole and overturned. Sorrano’s Dodge spun around in the intersection.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. Sorrano had no injuries.
