Seahawks Begin a New Chapter in the History Book Friday
The Sunlake Seahawks travel to Ocala to take on Vanguard in regional quarterfinals this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
It's a year of firsts for the Sunlake Seahawks football team.
The team has logged its first-ever 9-1 season and it beat Land O' Lakes High for the first time. Now, the Seahawks are ready for a first-ever playoff appearance.
"We can't be satisfied with just making the playoffs," said head coach Bill Browning.

The Hawks have proved their mettle in multiple tests this year. From blasting out the bad teams (Hudson, Wiregrass, Springstead and Gulf), edging out the close ones (Nature Coast Tech, River Ridge), and taking the big rivalry game, the Hawks have been tested in just about every possible scenario; even losing to Hernando.
"One thing I can say about this team, is they never quit," Browning said.

The whole season now, focuses down to a singular goal; win one game.
"This week's focus is on one, singular purpose," Browning said.
If somehow, the Hawks can come away with a win, they might very well get a rematch with district rival Hernando in the semifinals.
