LAND O' LAKES, FL -- A supervisor at a girl's detention center in Land O' Lakes has been charged with sexual battery after a 16-year-old girl reported that he forced her to have sex with him in a restroom.

A spokesman for the Department of Juvenile Justice said it was notified of the complaint by the contracted provider for the Central Pasco Girls Academy. Law enforcement was immediately notified and a call was placed to the Florida Abuse Hotline.

According to the teen, she asked permission to use the restroom and Jackson gave her his consent, telling her which restroom to use.

Surveillance video shows Jackson entering one of the facility's restrooms first but leaving the lights off. A minute later, the teen entered the bathroom.

The teen said she didn't realize Jackson was in the bathroom. She said he told her she would be written up if she didn't have sex with her and then he forced her to have sex.

Jackson, however, said they had consensual sex. He denied threatening her.

The Department of Juvenile Justice released this statement:

"This behavior is inexcusable, depraved, and disgusting and it is our expectation that this person be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. DJJ has zero tolerance for the victimization of youth placed in our care and custody and this contracted staff person’s employment has been terminated.”
