Teen Faces Charges Related To Bomb Threat
The Land O' Lakes boy's arrest was announced Monday.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — A 14-year-old Land O’ Lakes boy faces felony charges after Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies say he made a fake bomb threat.
According to the agency, the teen made a false report about planting a bomb at Pine View Middle School. The charge is considered a second-degree felony.
“Our cybercrimes unit quickly identified the student involved as he is an 8th grader at Pine View Middle,” the agency wrote in an email to media.

The threat was found on the teen’s Instagram account, the agency said. “The threat suggested a bomb threat would happen Tuesday ‘at 9:45 when that bell ring.’”
The teen, who is not being identified by Patch because of his age, has been trespassed from the school pending an expulsion hearing, the sheriff’s office said.
