Traditional Indian Style,or Indo-Arabic Fusion?

If you pull up a google-image of any henna style, you might get a percentage that dont quite fit.
This is because with the amount of sharing on the internet, there are artists doing whats called a fusion...taking two styles that mesh nicely with each other and putting together a design with the best of both. Most commonly, I see this with Indo-Arabic fusion.
This is a mixture of Indian themes and lots of pretty, tight fill ...coupled with big bold flowers and bold negative-space.
This topic comes up around certain holidays, when gals in particular want a design on their hands and feet that feel traditional to their celebration.
Lately the trend is fusion; and that is super fun because it allows me to do something different on everybody...I need never do the same design more than once. And that, to me,makes the experience more special.
While traditional Indian designs can be playful and different too, the solid fill can often make designs look  similar unless you are appreciating from close-up. Imagine gloves of intricate, delicate lace designs.
From a short distance they look solid, the details are somewhat lost.
Up close, you can see that the gloves are different, as one might focus on florals and another on a radiating spiral from the center.
Next blog post I will talk about other styles.
