U.S. 41 Lanes Closed Due To Downed Power Lines

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Motorists traveling through Land O’ Lakes Friday afternoon are being asked to avoid a stretch of U.S. 41.

According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, power lines and Verizon lines are down at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Asbel Creek Road.

“U.S. 41 is completely closed down in both directions until further notice,” an 2:41 p.m. email from the agency said. “Crews are working to correct the problem.”

It is unclear how long the closing might last.
