U.S. 41 Lane Closing to Slow Rush Hour Commute

The Florida Department of Transportation is warning motorists that northbound travel on U.S. 41 in the Lutz area might take a little longer this afternoon.

The two left hand lanes of northbound U.S. 41 between Debuel Road and Sunset Lane closed this morning to accommodate railroad work.

“These lanes will remain closed through Sunday morning,” Kristen Carson, FDOT’s spokeswoman, wrote in a media release. “One lane will remain open at all times.”

Carson said motorists should expect delays this afternoon and during the evening rush hour.
