Veterans Day Closings in Pasco

It’s Veterans Day 2011, and that means there are a lot of closings going on in Pasco County in observance of this national holiday.

If you’re wondering who’s open and who’s not, here are the closings that have been announced:

• Pasco County schools – All public schools in Pasco County are closed in observance of the holiday. They will reopen Monday, Nov. 14.
• Pasco government offices – County offices, including the courts, will be closed today and won’t reopen until Monday.
• Libraries – All county libraries are closed on Friday, but reopen on Saturday, Nov. 12.
• Recreation complexes – County facilities are closed, but parks and beaches will remain open to the public.
• Animal services - This agency will close other than for emergency services. The administrative office will reopen Nov. 14 and the animal shelter will reopen Nov. 12 at noon.
• Postal service – The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail today. Normal service resumes Saturday.
• Banks – Today is also a banking holiday.
