Watch: Cops Make Little Girl's Christmas Wish Come True

All she wanted was a tree of her own, and they delivered.

They’re not quite Santa’s elves, but that didn’t stop two officers from the Boynton Beach Police Department in making sure a little girl’s Christmas wish came true.

The little lady called 911 recently and then hung up. When officers looked into the disconnected call, they discovered the child was just looking for some holiday cheer.

“The little girl told officers she was sad because they weren’t going to have a Christmas tree this year,” the department explained in a media release. “Understanding that the family was struggling, the officers did what makes them some of our finest.”

Officers Ward and Paramore stopped by the family’s home on Sunday. They didn’t come empty handed either. The two delivered a real Christmas tree, a stand, lights and ornaments.

If the little girl’s smile as she hugged the tree is any indication, she’s pretty happy with how that 911 call turned out.

“A tree!” She squealed. “Thank you!”
