Wesley Chapel Homeowner Shot During Burglary Attempt
Pasco County deputies say the man interrupted an auto burglary early Monday morning.

Wesley Chapel, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two people in connection with an early Monday morning shooting in Wesley Chapel.
According to the agency, a man walked outside of his home on Aramon Court around 12:33 a.m. to smoke a cigarette. When he did so, he caught two men trying to burglarize his vehicle.
“He yelled at the burglars, who fired at him, hitting him once in the left thigh,” the sheriff’s office said in an email.

The suspects then took off from the scene.
Deputies say the victim, whose name isn’t being released, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects have not been caught. Deputies did not release descriptions of the men wanted in connection with the shooting.
