Wesley Chapel Man Faces Child Porn Charges

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 59-year-old Wesley Chapel man faces criminal charges after a child pornography investigation led Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies and officers from the Tampa Police Department to his door on Tuesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, a search warrant was served at Jeffrey Stanford’s Crescent Palm Drive home around 6 p.m. July 25. Authorities seized several computers, thumb drives, DVDs, tablets and a cellphone from the home.

Detectives say they also interviewed Stanford, “who confessed to possessing child pornography,” a Wednesday email from the sheriff’s office said.

Stanford was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography Tuesday. The investigation, however, remains active, the sheriff’s office said.
