A 33-year-old Wesley Chapel man is dead following a Friday morning accident on State Road 50 in Hernando County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Robert Michael Rudman was heading west on State Road 50 near Richloam Clay Sink Road around midnight when, for unknown reasons, he traveled into the path of an oncoming semi-truck.
Rudman, the patrol wrote in a report, died at the scene of the crash. The semi’s driver, Jose Antonio Moux Rivera, 50, of Orlando suffered serious injuries, as well.

No charges are anticipated in the case. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
