TAMPA, FL — A Wesley Chapel man was killed in an early Wednesday morning crash in Tampa, just minutes after his 26th birthday.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Daniel Nau was traveling southbound on Dale Mabry Highway on a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle around 12:34 a.m. Near the intersection of Cypress Street, a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Jermaine Buie, 37, of Tampa “made a left hand turn in front of the victim,” the department wrote in an email to media.
Nau struck Buie’s truck and died at the scene as a result of his injuries, the police department said.
