Wesley Chapel Teen Arrested Following Road Rage Complaint

The sheriff's office received a complaint from a resident who said young woman had waved and then pointed a gun at him on SR 54.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – A Wesley Chapel teen has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of marijuana with intent to sell after Pasco deputies investigated a road rage complaint on Dec. 17.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday the sheriff’s office received a complaint from a resident who said young woman had waved and then pointed a gun at him while they were driving on State Road 54 between Gunn Highway and U.S. 41. He provided sheriff’s deputies with a license tag number for a black Toyota Corolla.

Deputies ran the tag number and found it was registered to an address in Wesley chapel. When they arrived at the address, they found a 17-year-old girl and a friend sitting in a parked car. Deputies searched the teen’s car and found a gun, an Admiral Farragut ski mask, two sandwich bags with 9 grams of marijuana and $427 cash.

The teen, whose name is being withheld due to her age, was arrested.
