What You Said About the American Jobs Act

“Florida would benefit from the American Job Act,” wrote Joan Milligan in the comments section. “I like the entire American Job Act. This act will ensure our Oakstead school children and generations to come countywide many job opportunities, education and employment in a stable economy.”

Other readers weren’t so sure.

On the Land O’ Lakes Patch Facebook page, some readers were quite vocal in their opposition to the act.

Mark S. Hankins summed up his feelings in a single word: “No.”

Out of the 36 readers that took the poll on Patch, 19 said Congress should pass the proposed legislation right away. Thirteen said it was a waste of taxpayer dollars and shouldn’t be passed. Four thought the bill had merits, but needs work.
