When Is The Last Day of School For Tampa Bay Area Kids?

With temperatures once again rising to the near 90-mark, it can only mean that summer is soon to arrive.

For Tampa Bay area children eager to put those books aside for fun in the sun and sand, the last day of school just can’t arrive fast enough. It’s coming soon, but just how soon depends on where a child goes to school.

Here is a county-by-county breakdown of the final day of classes for the 2014-15 school year:

Pasco

• The last day of school this year is June 3.
• The first day of school for the 2015-16 year for students is Aug. 24, according to the district’s newly released calendar.

Hillsborough

• Students here report for their last day of classes on June 5.
• The first day of the 2015-16 year begins on Aug. 25.

Pinellas

• The last day of classes here is June 2.
• The first day back at hitting the books is Aug. 24.

Manatee

• The last day of classes in Manatee is June 5, which happens to be an early release day.
• The first day of the 2015-16 school year is Aug. 24.

Sarasota

• The last day of classes in the 2014-15 school year is May 29.
• The first day of the 2015-16 school year is Aug. 24.
