Zephyrhills Man, 67, Charged With Molesting 4-Year-Old Girl

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Zephyrhills man for reportedly molesting a 4-year-old girl.

Peter William Swist, 67, of 4205 Lado Drive, Lot 45, Zephyrhills, was arrested Sunday, March 25.

According to sheriff's reports, the 4-year-old was with her father at a gathering Saturday, March 24, on Lado Drive where Swist was also a guest.

Swist, who has known the victim's father for about three years, took the girl for a ride on his golf cart to his trailer with the father's permission.

When 10 minutes passed and his daughter hadn't returned, the father went to Swist's trailer and found the door open. He discovered Swist with his daughter in a back bedroom. He told deputies that his daughter's pants and underwear were pulled down and Swist was in the process of sexually molesting her.

Swist claimed he was simply helping the girl to wipe after she used the bathroom. However, the girl's statements about what happened were consistent with sexual molestation.
