Zephyrhills Man Arrested For Shooting Neighbor's Chickens
A Zephyrhills man has been charged with felony cruelty to animals after reportedly shooting and killing his neighbor's chickens.
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL – A Zephyrhills man has been charged with felony cruelty to animals after reportedly shooting and killing his neighbor’s chickens.
Tony E. Tew, 49, of 7718 Chenkin Road, Zephyrhills, was arrested Thursday, June 28, after his neighbor, Alfredo Ortiz, reported that he’d seen Tew raise a rifle and shoot his chickens through the fence between their properties.
In an interview with deputies, Tew admitted he shot the chickens because they kept wandering onto his property and were too loud.
