Update: 2 People Killed in Possible Murder-Suicide

Update Dec. 18, 6:40 p.m.: The Largo Police Department has identified the victims of today’s shooting as Rochelle Tatrai and Sean Ray, both 46. The two were found by their teenage daughter. While the investigation is ongoing, preliminary indications support the possibility of a murder-suicide, an email to media from the police department stated.

The Largo Police Department is currently investigating the deaths of two people on Thoroughbred Loop.

The incident unfolded around 2:33 p.m. Thursday when a utilities worker in the area of 13156 Thoroughbred Loop was flagged down by a young girl. The girl told the worker she came home and found two family members – a male and female – dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Further details about the deaths are not available and police are not yet releasing the names.

Officers, however, say there doesn’t appear to be any threat to the general public.
