6-Week-Old Dies After Monday Crash

The little girl passed away Wednesday morning.

A pedestrian versus car crash in Largo Monday night has claimed one life.

Six-week-old Serena Arlia died just after 8 a.m. Wednesday at All Children’s Hospital, the Largo Police Department has confirmed.

The crash in question happened around 6:26 p.m. as Sandra Neki, 65, was driving a 2003 BMW south on Missouri Avenue near Commerce Drive South.

Neki’s vehicle struck three pedestrians, Sarah Arlia, 32, Benjamin Garguilo, 5, and Serena Arlia, 6 weeks.

Police say all three were airlifted to local hospitals.

Sarah Arlia and Benjamin Gargulio remain hospitalized.

No criminal charges are anticipated. Police say the pedestrians were crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk.
