Missing 77-Year-Old Found at Waffle House
A silver alert had been issued for Robert Hugh Omara, who suffers from dementia.

Treasure Island Police have found a missing Largo man who suffers from dementia. He was at Waffle House.

Largo police issued a silver alert for Robert Hugh Omara, 77, who went missing about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

He was found about 2 a.m. at the Waffle House at 11185 Gulf Blvd., Loux said.
Omara was last seen by witnesses driving his 2008 black Mercury Sable near Lake Avenue and East Bay Drive in Largo. His Florida tag is inscribed with 101st Airborne Division.

Treasure Island Police reunited him with his wife and niece.
“It’s not a good idea to have someone who doesn’t have full capacity of their mental state to be operating a vehicle," Loux said. "It’s a tough decision for family members to make."
