Cub Scout Arrow of Light Ceremony

Two boys from Cub Scout Pack 417 were promoted during the Arrow of Light Ceremony on March 14th: Edward "Eddie" Resti (Left) and Shane Curry (Right), both 11 and both Largo residents, graduated from the Cub Scout Pack to Boy Scout Troop 417.

The final and highest rank of Cub Scouting is the Arrow of Light. To earn it aΒ  boy must be a member of his Den for at least six months since turning ten yearsΒ  old and have earned the Webelos Badge. He must have earned the Fitness,Β  Readyman, and Citizen Activity Pins and five more for a total of eight. He mustΒ  know the Boy Scout Oath and Scout Law from memory as well as the Boy ScoutΒ  slogan, motto, sign and salute. He must have participated in a Webelos overnightΒ  camp out or a Webelos day hike. He must have visited a Boy Scout troop with hisΒ  parents and den and taken part in a Boy Scout outdoor activity.

Both the Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop meet at the Largo Elks, 810 16th Ave SE, Largo, on Thursday evenings at 7pm.
