Eleanor Oaks Ribbon Cutting March 15

A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate completion of the first house in Eleanor Oaks is scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at 460 4th Avenue NE.

Eleanor Oaks is a single-family affordable housing project developed in partnership between the City of Largo and the Largo Area Housing Development Corporation (LAHDC) in the Roosevelt Groves neighborhood. The partnership was formed in 2007 to convert a dilapidated mobile home park on 4th Avenue NE into affordable housing.

The first house, which utilizes a "Neo-Traditional" architectural design and many energy efficiency features, is completed and has been sold. The ribbon cutting will include a presentation of the house keys to the new owner family and a tour of the interior of the house.
