
The City of Largo is currently seeking applicants for a seven member committee to review the City Charter and make recommendations for amendments to the City Commission. Sound interesting? Not sure? Here are a few frequently asked questions.
What is the Charter?
Simply stated, the City Charter is the Constitution or manual for how Largo's municipal government operates and is organized.

Why is a Charter Review Committee being appointed?
One change made to the Charter when it was last reviewed was that the Charter must be reviewed at least once every seven years to see if any new revisions are appropriate.

When will the committee be appointed and how long will they meet?
The committee will be appointed in early April and will meet at least once a month for approximately ten months. The committee will give its recommendations to the Largo City Commission who will decide which proposed amendments will be adopted.
Who can apply?
