Author Craig Pittman Visits Largo Public Library

The Fabulous Florida Five continues at Largo Public Library with author Craig Pittman. Pittman is the author of Manatee Insanity: Inside the War Over Florida’s Most Famous Endangered Species. His presentation traces the history of how manatees ended up on the endangered species list and why they remain there today.

This free event takes place on Thursday, January 7 at 6:30pm in the Jenkins Wing of Largo Public Library. Free passes are available at the library, but seats are limited. Books will be on sale at each lecture and signing.

This Fabulous Florida Five will engage the community in a celebration of reading with a series of author lectures. The author events are scheduled from December 2015 through April 2016. Whether it’s alligators or crime capers, you’ll be sure to find inspiration, entertainment, and education.
