Authorities Investigate Deputy Involved Crash
A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office transport van and a bicycle collided on June 14, according to authorities.

A sheriff's deputy pulled a transport van out of parking lot onto Ulmerton Road Thursday morning. At the same a 25-year-old cyclist was riding eastbound on the sidewalk, according to a news release.
When Deputy Gary Breest reached Ulmerton Road, Daniel Drabicki rode his bike into the front bumper of the transport van, according to a release.
According to deputies, Drabicki initially said he did not have time to do a police report and rode off from the scene. Breest followed Drabicki and stopped him several blocks away, according to a release.

A sheriff's patrol deputy came and started the investigation. Breest was not injured. Drabicki said he had neck and back pains, so he was transported to Largo Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, authorities wrote.
The investigation continues.
