Bicyclist Suffers Critical Injuries In Hit-And-Run Crash In Largo

LARGO, FL — A bicyclist is in critical condition after falling off the bike at 142nd Avenue North and Northbound Frontage Road in Largo Thursday night, after an SUV turned in the bicyclist's path.

At 8:15 p.m., the bicyclist was travelig north in the bicycle lane, passing through the intersection when an SUV made a right turn from 142nd Avenue North onto Northbound Frontage Road, according to Largo police.

Police said the bicycle made contact with the SUV, causing the bicyclist to fall off. The SUV fled the scene.

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
