Bites Nearby: An Asian Experience at Thai Bay

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Largo Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Are you in for a different experience? Something perhaps with hints of saffron and jasmine? If you answered yes, then welcome to Thai Bay. It's Asian inspired art welcomes you when you walk into and the sound of a water fall with a backdrop of Asian music turns a night out into a cultural experience. Here you'll find a Buddha accompanied by a bowl with rose petals. Presentation doesn't have to be pricey. At least it's not at Thai Bay. Here your dish comes with a Jasmine flower and polite service. It's a relaxing casual ambiance that's perfect for a lunch or dinner get-away. Prices are moderately priced. You can find an entrée between $11 to $15. Most come with soup, salad, the main dish and an egg roll. This isn't your typical asian infusion restaurant. The food is fresh, aromatic and pleasantly colorful. 

hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30am  to 3 p.m. and 4p.m. to 10 p.m. On Sunday they are open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. They are located at 1300 East Bay Dr. in Largo, 727-584-5522.
