Celebrating 100 Years of Outstanding Service

Largo Public Library celebrates 100 years on April 7, 2016. Find out how we're celebrating!

On April 7, 1916, the Largo Public Library opened with 560 books in a spare room located in City Hall. Now, 100 years later, we are proud to still be serving our community in many ways.

To honor this special anniversary, Largo Public Library presents StoryFest as part of the Family Extravaganza in Largo Central Park on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10am-3pm. StoryFest will include storytelling, special performers, puppet shows, face painting, and more!

Later in the week, a 100-year celebration will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 beginning at 10:00am in the Library lobby with treats, a gift for the first 100 people to stop in, and a fun group activity.
