Five-time Grammy award winner, Victor Wooten is known for his solo recordings, tours and as a member of the Grammy-winning super group, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones. He has won most every major award given to a bass guitarist. Victor was voted Bassist of the Year by Bass Player Magazine three times and is the only person to have won the award more than once. Stu Hamm has firmly established himself as one of the most influential electric bassists of the past half-century. Hamm helped to reshape the contemporary concept of the bass guitar as an unaccompanied instrument with the utilization of polyphonic, two-handed tapping, slapping and popping techniques, chords, and harmonics. You may have seen Stu perform with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai as well as many other well known musicians. Come out for the 19th Annual City of Largo Touch-a-Truck. Bring the whole family out to climb, honk and play around in every vehicle you can imagine, including fire trucks, dump trucks, motorcycles, buses, a Bayflight helicopter, and more. Kids of all ages can enjoy inflatables, train rides along Largo Central Railroad, Rocketship Car rides around the block, and a delicious food court in the middle of the park. All ages are welcome. Bricks 4 Kidz Workshop

Event Description

Join this parent and me workshop focusing on air, land and space. Kids ages 5-13 are invited to participate in hands on workshop where they will build machines, buildings, vehicles and other structures out of Lego Bricks, using one-of-a-kind model plans designed by Bricks 4 Kidz. Each workshop begins with an instructor led discussion related to the model of the day, while introducing S.T.E.M (Science, technology, engineering and math). After model is built, everyone enjoys a period of free-play.

Want to volunteer but don’t know where to start? If you are a senior, a volunteer or director/manager of volunteers, this is the event for you. Over 20 different organizations looking for volunteer. Also, there will be over 20 organizations geared towards health and wellness showcasing their products.

Join us for a weekend of scrapbooking at the Highland Recreation Complex. The fun begins at 4pm on Friday, January 31 and will continue until 5pm on Sunday, February 2. We will close Fri and Sat evening from 12am until 8am. Registration includes six meals, snacks and drinks throughout the weekend.
