Clearwater Woman Dies Following Crash In Dunedin Thursday Night

DUNEDIN, FL — A 30-year-old Clearwater woman has died following a crash at 1659 Achieva Way in Dunedin Thursday night.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, at 8:48 p.m., Ashley Mckiernan of Chenango Avenue was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze south on Achieva Way from Main Street when, for unknown reasons, she left the road and struck a tree in the center median.

She was transported to Bayfront Hospital with life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Impairment appears to be a factor in the crash.
