CSX Repairs Prompt West Bay Drive Closing

Motorists who use West Bay Drive in their daily commutes might want to map out a different route before next week.

Repairs to the CSX railroad tracks are prompting a closing of the roadway starting at 10 a.m. Aug. 22 between Seminole Boulevard and Clearwater-Largo Road. The closing affects traffic in both directions and is anticipated to last for seven to 10 days, according to an email from the city of Largo.

“Message boards will be posted and businesses will remain open to local traffic,” the email said. “Pedestrians are not allowed in the construction work zone and are advised to avoid this area.”
