Deputies Arrest Man Who Barricaded Himself in a Clearwater Home
Deputies arrested a suspect, who barricaded himself in a Clearwater home, on charges related to brandishing a knife, threatening deputies and endangering three children, according to the sheriff's office
Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call regarding a domestic argument at 1457 S. Missouri Avenue in unincorporated Clearwater around 11:18 a.m. on Friday.
When deputies arrived Bryan Williams, 26, allegedly grabbed a stick and told the deputies not to come any closer. Deputies ordered him to put the stick down, but he apparently did not follow their directions and went back into the home, according to deputies.
The deputies approached the home's door and Williams came out allegedly with a butcher knife in his hand and began allegedly threatening deputies, according to deputies.

The woman who called the police and three minor children were also in the front yard, according to deputies.
The deputies ordered Williams to drop the knife. Once again Williams allegedly did not comply and headed back into the home and barricaded himself inside, according to deputies.

Deputies began communicating with Williams through a back window and negotiated with him for about 45 minutes. They were able to get him to come out the front door again, according to deputies.
While back outside again Williams allegedly continued to be argumentative and apparently unwilling to follow deputy commands. Deputies then deployed a beanbag projectile in order to subdue Williams, according to deputies.
Deputies arrested Williams on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, child endangerment, and resisting arrest without violence. Williams was also arrested on an unrelated warrant for parole violation.
A second suspect, Isreal T. Williams, 25, was arrested on the charge of obstruction after he allegedly began yelling profanities at the deputies and telling the deputies to get off of the property.
Clearwater Fire Rescue came to the scene to treat Bryan Williams for injuries related to the deployment of the beanbag. They also treated Isreal Williams who was complaining he was feeling ill. Both were treated and transported to Pinellas County Jail according to the sheriff's office.
The investigation is ongoing.
