Fire Destroys Mobile Home at Kings Manor Estates

Authorities are investigating the cause of a Tuesday morning fire.

On Tuesday, April 17, officers from the and firemen from the responded to the report of a structure fire at at 1399 Belcher Road South. 

The Largo Fire Department extinguished a fire at lot number 140 within the mobile home park.  The fire appears to have completely destroyed the mobile home, according to police.

The homeowners were not at home during the time of the fire.  The homeowners indicated that they had left candles burning while they went to McDonalds.  Upon their return they found their mobile home fully engulfed by fire, according to police.

While the homeowners had their pet dog with them, they shared that their cat was missing and presumably may have been inside the mobile home during the fire.  While their mobile home appears to be completely destroyed by the fire, neighboring mobile homes were untouched by the fire, according to police.

Currently, arson detectives from the Largo Police Department and the state fire
marshal are on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
