Update: Gas Leak Closes Part of Seminole Boulevard
Deputies have reopened all northbound lanes and one southbound lane of the busy roadway to traffic.

The northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard are now open after a gas leak earlier today. The southbound median lane is also open, according to a press release.
A gas leak had forced the closure of Seminole Boulevard near 62nd Avenue this afternoon.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office closed the north and southbound lanes as crews worked to repair the leak on Thursday afternoon, according to a news release.

Progress Energy was digging and hit the gas line, but TECO came to fix the leak because they handle natural gas, according to Bay News 9.
No injuries have been reported at this time.

Officials evacuated nearby homes and businesses as a precaution, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
