The sold-out AMC Tri City 8 became a mad rush of frenzied fans as the clock approached midnight for the premier of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2."

British fantasy author J.K. Rowling's final installment of the Harry Potter series came to life on the big screen Friday morning at midnight in Clearwater.

The release of the film was a major event worldwide filling theaters around the globe, Many fanatics came dressed in full costume of their favorite Harry Potter character to celebrate the final bitter sweet festivities. Some fans came resembling Harry Potter himself while others came as darker characters such as Lord Voldemort.

J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter empire has grown into a brand worth morethan $4 billilon and more than 400 products. The film adaptations were a major factor in it's success.
