Hundreds Of Child Porn Images Discovered; Largo Man Arrested

LARGO, FL — Pinellas County sheriff's detectives have arrested a Largo man after they said they found hundreds of child pornography images on his computer and cell phone.

Detectives began investigating Thomas Coffin Jr., 38, of 127 Melody Lane, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported that someone at his email address was uploading child pornography.

The Clearwater Police Department also reported that child erotica was being uploaded from that email address.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Coffin's home and conducted a search on July 28, seizing his electronic devices. The digital forensics unit examined the devices and found hundreds of child porn images.

Coffin was arrested Wednesday and charged with 20 counts of possessing child pornography.
