Largo Home Damaged When Car Crashes Into It
No one was injured but a home, fences and trees were damaged Friday when a car lost control on 126th Avenue North on Friday.
LARGO, FL -- No one was injured but a home, fences and trees were damaged Friday when a car lost control on 126th Avenue North on Friday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:42 a.m. Mario Alberto Velasquez, 30, of Largo was driving a Hyundai Equus east on 126th Avenue when he failed to stop at the intersection of Wildacres Road. He proceeded through the intersection, struck several warning signs and trees and then entered a ditch.
The car continued to travel along the south embankment of the ditch before colliding with a vinyl fence and entering the back yard of a house at 8299 125th Circle N. Once in the back yard, the car struck several trees and began to overturn before colliding with a second fence and a home located at 8277 125th Circle N.

The car partially entered the home but there was no one inside at the time.
Velasquez was cited for driving on a suspended license and running a stop sign.
