Largo Little League Seniors Host Sectional Tournament This Weekend
Fresh off winning the District 12 tournament at East Lake, the Largo Little League Seniors host a four-team sectional tournament with the winner advancing to the state tournament at Dade City.
Largo Little League Seniors are just a few games from advancing to the state tournament in Dade City. They have the luxury of playing the sectional tournament at home.
The sectional tournament involves four teams: Largo, Palma Ciea, Cross Bayou and Inverness. Each team plays three games in a round robin format. The two teams with the best records square off in a double-elimination best two-of-three games format to determine the sectional winner, which will advance to the state tournament.
Largo faces Palma Ciea tonight at 6:30 p.m.

"Everyone has done pretty good," Largo manager Bob Gibree said. "We've had solid pitching and solid defense and good team speed and we hit the ball well. We have a lot of athletes that can run so we can do a lot of stuff."
