LARGO, FL — A Largo man has been arrested after being accused of exposing himself at the Burlington Coat Factory in Seminole.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, on Wednesday, July 1, 37-year-old Derek Hardison of 10794 106th St., Largo, walked into the Burlington Coat Factory at 7351 Seminole Blvd., selected a bottle of lotion and then walked around the store with his penis exposed. The incident was caught on surveillance video.

According to detectives, an 11-year-old child saw Hardison with his penis exposed when he walked through the toy section. The child told his parent who later notified law enforcement.

Investigators say Hardison left in a distinctive Nissan pickup truck and and was positively identified as the person on the surveillance video.

Hardison was arrested on Wednesday, July 8, and transported to the Sheriff's Administration Building at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo for an interview. He did not provide a statement.

He was then taken to the Pinellas County Jail where he was charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition.
